Greetings from Department of Civil Engineering, East West Institute of Technology.
The Department was established in the year 2008, with an Undergraduate intake of 60 and presently the intake is 120. The department is also offering M.Tech programs in Structural Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering since 2010 with an intake of 18 each. The department has a “Research Center” recognized by VTU leading to Ph.D program from 2012. The Department is headed by Dr. M S Nagaraja Gupta and supported by well qualified Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors and dedicated technical and supporting staff.

2. Department ICI-Student chapter has been awarded as “ICI (BENC)- ULTRATECH AWARD FOR Best ICI Student Chapter of Karnataka-2021”.
3. Our proud alumni Mr.Harshit S, has been awarded with prestigious “Ekalavya Award” for his achievements In Sports from Government of Karnataka for the year 2016.
4. Department Of Civil Engineering has secured 1st Place In College Cultural Fest “Aakriti-DCP” consecutively for 3 years (2017, 2018, 2019).
5. Students of 6th semester has won II place in State level Inter College Poster Presentation organized by DSATM on the account of World Environmental Day-2022.

The Department of CIVIL has well equipped laboratories, Digital Department Library, Seminar Hall, Smart Class room, NPTEL video lecture Class, E- Shikshana Class. The laboratories have more than 215 High-end systems of latest configurations and all systems are connected to LAN with Internet connectivity. The Dept have all the software tools and Technologies as per the curriculum required and also as per the current requirements of the Industry.
Faculty
The faculty members are actively involved in teaching and research. The faculty members have published number of research and review papers/articles.
Infrastructure
The laboratories have more than 215 High-end systems of latest configurations and software tools which are connected to high speed Internet connection.
Activities
Department is conducting aptitude test, placement training programs, guest lecturers from industry resource persons, Seminars, hands on workshops on latest technologies.
