The Department of Information Science and Engineering was established in the year 2001 with an Intake of 60 had been increased to 120 in the year 2005-06. Right from the inception the department working on an objective of imparting quality technical education for IT sector and related software industries.

The Department has well qualified and dedicated faculty members, who always put in their best efforts to ensure that quality education is imparted to students. The Department will be striding in the progressive path to achieve excellence in academics and research activities.

Apart from the qualified faculty and staff, the Department has well equipped laboratories with all required software programming tools. Students are thoroughly trained in computer programming for engineering applications to meet the challenges of the IT industry.

The campus placement has been scaling higher and higher peaks right from its inception with multinational companies recruiting our students in large numbers. To increase the opportunity of placements to students, the department conducts Training Programs, Aptitude Tests, mock Interviews, Group discussions, Communication & soft skills programmes regularly. The prime goal of the department is to produce highly resource full, knowledgeable and competent IT professionals with human values, who can be readily acceptable by the industry.

The Department is regularly conducting conference/workshops/expert lectures in order to motivate and encourage students to achieve academic excellence. The Department invites eminent personalities from renowned industries and research organization for interaction with students and faculty.

The Department has established a reputation for its excellent results and placements. Students of ISE have bagged university ranks right from the inception of the Department and also bagged gold medals from reputed university for their outstanding performances
